Swim Lesson Information and Registration

The Harbor Springs Community Pool offers swimming lessons throughout the year. We also offer scholarships to assist with the finances of swim lessons. Please contact pool director, Lynn Ness, for more information!

During the school year, the Community Pool has a fall, winter and spring session. These classes meet once a week for 8 weeks, and are held in the mornings, evenings, and Saturday mornings. Parent-Tot classes are designed to introduce your children, who are 6 months – 4 years old, to water as a fun environment with the comfort and security of the parent at their side. Pre-school classes are 30 minutes long and are geared to the 4 – 6 year old child. Classes are limited to 5 students. Your child must be at least 36 inches tall.  The American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program classes are 45 minutes long and geared towards children 6 and older.  Please see below for a more detailed description of our classes.

We would like to invite all families/swimmers interested in Winter swim lessons to come to a special skills day. This skills day will help HSPS appropriately place each child in their most comfortable lesson level and will give them the best opportunity for growth. We will be offering two skills days Thursday January 9th from 4-5 and Saturday January 11th from 9-10. Please arrive 15 minutes early for paperwork. All are welcome at no charge.
