Blackbird Child Care Center Reopening June 22, 2020

We are please to announce that Blackbird Child Care Center will be reopening on June 22, 2020.  Please keep in mind that our typical capacity will be reduced to allow for social distancing and required safety protocols.

Priority will be given to children attending five days per week due to lower class size requirements.  If your child attended (or plans to attend) part time, you can still pick up paperwork for registration, and we will let you know ASAP if your request can be accommodated.  Your child is not considered registered until all paperwork is turned in.

Blackbird Child Care COVID-19 Action Plan

All child care facilities that are open during the COVID-19 pandemic are required to have an action plan that is accessible to the public.  Please click here to access the HSPS COVID-19 Child Care Action Plan.

Summer Registration Information:

Please contact Tami or Vicky (emails appear below) for registration information and availability.  Stay tuned for fall registration information.

Welcome to Blackbird Childcare Center

We are excited to have your child enrolled in our program. Our center will focus on creative play, basic learning and socialization skills. Our goal is to provide a safe and quality program for the community of Harbor Springs. It is important that parents read this handbook carefully to develop a common understanding of expectations and become oriented with the program requirements needed for your child to attend. We want your family to be happy and comfortable with our “at school” care.

Program Philosophy

We strive to provide an environment of trust, understanding, comfort and safety for the children in our care. We hope to instill a sense of personal responsibility, empathy toward others, a desire to learn, and an ability to keep busy while having fun with schoolmates in each child.
