I earned a Bachelor of Science degree (with a math major) from Michigan Technological University and a Masters degree in Computer Applications from Wayne State University.  I began my career teaching middle school math at Washington Middle School in Calumet, Michigan in 1978.  After Calumet, I continued at Mio AuSable Schools teaching various math, science, and computer courses.  I began teaching in Harbor Springs in 1984.  Since then, I have taught many different math, science, and computer courses.  Currently, I am teaching Integrated Science; a freshmen level college preparatory course including physics, chemistry, and earth science topics; and Algebra I.  It has always been and continues to be a privilege to work with the students of Harbor Springs High School. I will always do my best to offer my students a challenging and rewarding educational experience.

My wife Julie and I have three adult children. Todd, a mechanical engineer in the Minneapolis area has two children of his own, Jillian and Drew.  Trisha, with daughter Cora, resides in Ypsilanti and is currently teaching Spanish at Washtenaw International High School.  Our youngest, Jennifer, is a veterinarian currently working in animal dentistry at the University of Minnesota.
