Welcome to Harbor Springs Middle School Counseling Office
Let me start by telling you a little bit about myself…
After graduating from Central Michigan University in 1998, I made the big move to Harbor Springs to be a sixth grade teacher. In 2004, I received my Master of Arts degree in Counseling from CMU. The following school year, I became the part-time middle school counselor and continued to teach part-time as well. The 2020-2021 school year marks my sixteenth year as the school counselor and twenty-third year as a teacher. I truly enjoy working with students in the classroom, in small groups, and individually. The middle school years are such a time of growth and change that I never know what the day will bring. When I am not at school working, I spend time with my husband (Scott), daughters (Madelaine & Lillian), and son (Benjamin).
Please feel free to contact me at 526-4756 or email me at mmcshannock@harborps.org.
My office is located between the 600 and 700 academic wings. I look forward to assisting you in any way possible to make your student’s middle school years a success and positive experience.
Sincerely,
Megan McShannock
