Josh McDonald – Social Studies

My name is Josh McDonald.  This is my third year teaching at Harbor Springs High School, but I been teaching for just over 12 years now.  I currently teach U.S. History, Civics, and Economics.  I am also the Lead Advisor for our Michigan Youth in Government Delegation.  I have taught in a variety of school settings prior to coming to Harbor Springs.  I taught at Pellston Public Schools from 2006-2009, and then spent three years teaching alternative education.  Finally, I spent over three years teaching adult education to incarcerated men in a correctional facility.  I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Lake Superior State University and my Master’s Degree from American Public University.  I really enjoy being part of this school district and feel very blessed as well.  The administration, staff, students, parents, and the community overall have been very welcoming and helpful.  Directly below is my daily class schedule.

This is Bella at 6 weeks old….

And this is her at 8 years old!

I have had Bella since she was 6 weeks old.  She is my baby and means everything to me.  She is now 8 1/2 years old and it is difficult knowing that we probably don’t have that much time left together.  I have treasured every moment we have had together and I will continue to do so.
