Welcome to

Harbor Springs Middle School

At HSMS we are dedicated to supporting students as they explore and discover the world around them. We strive to provide experiences for students to think creatively, work collaboratively, and build skill sets that will prepare them for their futures. Please reach out to our teachers or administrative staff if you have questions, concerns, or suggestions. We are happy to help and look forward to speaking with you.
Sincerely,
Heather Keiser, Principal

PBIS Schedule

Today is our March PBIS event. There will be activities offered for 7th–8th graders at the high school (not with high school students), so we will have a 2:50 shuttle available so kids can return to the middle school, if necessary, for pickup.

Spring Break

School will not be in session Friday, March 22 through Monday, April 1. School resumes on April 2.

Michigan Hero Essay Contest Winners

Three of our 8th grade students were recognized this week for their outstanding essays in the Farm Bureau Insurance Michigan Hero Essay Contest. Makayla Beach earned third place, Lillian McShannock took second, and Hadley Flynn won first place and will go on to compete with other students around Michigan for the state prize. Congratulations to our wonderful writers!

Caffeine Pods

The newest trend with our students is purchasing Mojo energy pouches, which are little caffeine pouches they put in their mouth like tobacco. We are not allowing this at school. Please talk to your children about the effects of caffeine on their growing and developing bodies and the importance of health and safety.

Ram Wellness Advisory Council

Interested in joining the Ram Wellness Community Advisory Council? The CAC consists of wellness program staff, school administrators, parents, and community members who provide input on our policies and services to support the health needs of Harbor Springs students. Click here for more details.
