Elementary and Middle school Library Book Giveaway!

July 29, 10 AM – 4 PM
July 30, 9 AM – 2 PM

It has been several years since our libraries have undergone a massive “weeding” of books that have not been checked out recently or that might have some content that is slightly outdated.  We need to make room for more recent titles.  Come and browse the 1000’s of books that we are giving back to the community!  Although not necessary, donations are accepted and will go toward purchasing newer books for our libraries.

HS Police Department Surprises Shay Students with Donuts!

Our very own Harbor Springs Police Department showed their appreciation for our students by personally delivering Johan’s Donuts to each and every 2nd-4th grader.  This was in response to thank you letters that our students had written them after an emergency response incident in January.

Elementary Schools Finish Up March is Reading Month with Themed Activities!

March is always an exciting month in our elementary schools as we celebrate reading.  Kindergarten students read about dairy farms, first graders learned about orchards, second graders read about the maple syrup making process, third grade students focused on bees, and fourth grade students read about botanicals.  Each grade read books, took trips, and experienced hands-on activities.  The “Chick-a-Pig” tournament wound things up at Shay Elementary!
