COVID-19 Policies Pertaining to Athletics

Per MHSAA and district guidelines, athletic activity will resume in Harbor Springs on Monday, June 15.  These are modified activities that strictly adhere to social distancing guidelines. Key points:

  • Both indoor and outdoor athletic facilities, including gymnasiums and weight rooms, may be used by groups of 50 or fewer.
  • Students and coaches must remain 6 feet apart.
  • Coaches must wear masks indoors.
  • Competition is not yet allowed because participants must continue to follow social distancing.
  • Balls may be used among groups of participants, but participants should clean such common equipment as permitted and continue to maintain proper hygiene (washing hands, not touching their faces) and social distance.
  • Guidelines will continue to be updated based on directives from Governor Whitmer’s office.
