Shay Students Relocated for 2022-23

Shay Elementary School, which houses students in grades 2-4, is scheduled to be demolished in late summer or early fall.  Students will be relocated to our other schools.  2nd grade students will move to Blackbird Elementary School where they were once housed, and 3rd-4th grade students will relocate to Harbor Springs Middle School.  Our 3rd/4th grade students will be housed entirely in a separate hall from the other students and will have their own bathroom. They will not be in classes, lunch, or recess with other grade levels.

Harbor Springs High School is ranked 68th within Michigan and #1 in Northern Michigan. According to U.S. News, students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement (AP) coursework and exams. The AP participation rate at Harbor Springs High School is 45 percent. The total minority enrollment is 12 percent, and 18 percent of students are economically disadvantaged.  Read More….

DECA Club gets Start-up Help!

The DECA club received has received three donations for start-up!  This is the first DECA club Harbor Springs High School has had.  Thanks to Collins & Associates, Berkshire Hathaway, and the Lyric Theatre!  Mrs. Inglehart and the students are so grateful for the help!

The Young Americans will be back in Harbor Springs this summer for four amazing weeks of performing arts camps, and they will be bringing their unique combination of high-energy, team-building, confidence-boosting FUN!

Camp dates are June 28 – July 2, July 5 – 9, July 12 – 19, and July 19 – 23. Spots are limited, so register soon.

We are also looking for families to host the Young Americans while they are in town. If interested, please contact Tina Haas at 231-526-4858 for more information
