Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Jr. will be presented by Harbor Springs Middle School students Friday, January 24th at 7pm and Saturday, January 25th at 2pm and 7pm. Performances will be held at the Harbor Springs Performing Arts Center located at Harbor Springs High School. This zany musical runs about an hour and thirty minutes and is based on the 1951 film and based on the books by Lewis Carroll.

More than 30 fifth through 8th grade students have been working hard since November to bring this musical to life.

“Last year I asked the students what show they wanted to do next year, and this was the top musical for many of them,” said director Jolene Fowler. “You can tell they have really poured their hearts into this play. From prop construction, to acting, to dancing, some of these students have dedicated over 100 hours to this show.”

Music director Jana Walker added: “It has been fun to watch the cast learn the music and put lots of work into picking up the harmonies through the rehearsal process. They have stepped up to all I have asked them to do vocally and I am so proud of all of them all.”
